Karen Bramwell is CEO and Executive Principal. She is a National Leader of Education and has supported significant improvements in a number of schools across the North West. Karen regularly provides training to other headteachers and school leaders across the country – she has recently been involved in the writing of the National Professional Qualification for Executive Leadership. Karen joined St Paul’s as Headteacher in 1998 and is now responsible for the success of all schools, staff and children across the Forward As One Trust.

Elliot Costas-Walker
Trust Assistant Principal
Elliot became Assistant Trust Principal for Forward as One in October 2018, having previously worked for 2 years as a Teaching & Learning Lead for a Yorkshire Multi Academy Trust. Elliot is currently responsible for developing Pedagogy and School Improvement across all the Forward As One schools. He has a proven-track record of supporting schools in various contexts, including special measures schools, and has been instrumental in the rapid improvement of attainment and progress outcomes in both KS1 and KS2. His passion is driving School Improvement work alongside quality first Teaching & Learning in the classroom. Elliot is a facilitator for ALL and engages with the NPQSL and NPQML programmes, his expertise is also utilised in the school to-school support for all NQTs across Wigan Local Authority.
George Taylor
Facilities Manager
After successfully qualifying as a motor vehicle technician, following his apprenticeship, George worked in the motor trade for over 30 years. He then progressed into mechanical and electrical engineering, working over 15 years developing bakery equipment for leading supermarkets. George has a wealth of leadership experience – running his own business, being a workshop foreman and a Service Manager of 2 motor dealerships in Bolton. George always aspired to work in a school environment and was appointed as the Caretaker of St Paul’s CE Primary School in 2010. George’s role has evolved overtime from Caretaker to Site Manager and now Facilities Manager, working across the Trust. He is heavily involved in the business, day to day operations and project management of the schools within the Trust.
